Mission Statement
The mission of the Advocate Christ Simulation Learning Center is to teach clinical knowledge and techinical skills in a safe and controlled environment. We hope to increase confidence and improve performance of physicians, nurses and ancillary staff. Participants will have the opportunity to practice life saving skills that will translate to real patient care. Simulation based training will sharpen mental tools necessary for recognition of an impending crisis situation and immediate intervention to avert poor outcomes.
We incorporate principles of crisis resource management into simulation training and debriefings. We hope to dramatically improve the way high stress situations are handled at both an individual and a team level. The ultimate goal of all our efforts are to empower healthcare workers to provide safe and effective clinical care for patients.
